Author Guidelines

Manuscript Components

Title
The manuscript title should be concise (maximum 15 words), informative, and reflect the central focus of the study. Capitalize the major words in the title and align it to the left margin.

Author Information

Author names must include superscript numbers linking to their full institutional affiliations and country. One corresponding author must be identified, along with a valid email address used for all communications during the editorial process. All contributors listed as authors should have actively participated in major aspects of the work, including idea development, methodology, data collection or analysis, drafting, and revision. Final approval from all authors is mandatory before submission.

Important Note: Author details cannot be revised after publication. It is the author’s responsibility to ensure accuracy during the initial submission.

Abstract
The abstract should summarize the core content of the paper in no more than 250 words and be written in clear academic English. The study's background, aim, method, significant results, and main conclusion must be stated. Avoid citations, abbreviations, or complex terminology. The abstract should stand alone as an overview of the study for potential readers.

Introduction
This section introduces the research issue, situates it in the broader academic context, and presents the study's aims and rationale. A brief but focused review of key literature should be included to support the argument for the research gap. Clearly articulate research questions, hypotheses, or variables under investigation. Avoid breaking the introduction into subsections or overloading it with unrelated citations.

Method
The Methods section must detail the research design and process in a way that ensures replicability. Include information on participants, sampling techniques, data collection instruments, procedures, and analysis strategies. Mention how reliability and validity were established. Provide references for any non-conventional tools or approaches used. Avoid unnecessary jargon and focus on clarity, primarily if novel methods are used in language education or applied linguistics research.

Results and Discussion

Authors may present the Results and Discussion as a combined section or as two distinct sections, depending on what best suits the structure of their research. In either case, the following expectations apply:

  • Results should be presented clearly and systematically, using tables or figures when appropriate. Report findings relevant to each research question or objective without interpretation or commentary.
  • Discussion should interpret the findings, linking them to the research questions, existing literature, and theoretical implications. Highlight the study’s contributions, identify limitations, and suggest future directions. Avoid repeating previously stated results.

Whether merged or separate, this section should demonstrate logical flow and offer insights into how the findings contribute to knowledge in English language learning.

Conclusion
Summarize the main outcomes and their relevance without restating the abstract. Focus on the findings' contribution to English language education or learning. Offer concise implications for practice or further research. Avoid vague expressions and ensure the conclusion reflects the evidence presented.

Acknowledgments (Optional)

If applicable, acknowledge individuals or organizations who contributed to the research but are not listed as authors. This may include funders, data collectors, or those providing technical support. Ensure permissions are obtained before including names. Mention funding agencies or grant identifiers when applicable.

Citations and References

Use APA (American Psychological Association) style for all in-text citations and references, based on the latest edition. All sources cited in the manuscript must appear in the reference list and vice versa. Aim for at least 35 references, most drawn from the past decade. Ensure accuracy in author names, titles, dates, and formatting. Avoid footnotes for citation purposes.
