Archiving

Explorations in English Learning (EXEL) ensures the long-term preservation and accessibility of all published content. To achieve this, the journal employs multiple digital archiving strategies.

All articles published in EXEL are archived and preserved through:

• LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) allows participating libraries to create permanent journal archives.

• PKP Preservation Network (PN) – a decentralised preservation service provided through the Public Knowledge Project to ensure content remains accessible in case of system failure.

• Institutional and Subject Repositories—Authors are encouraged to deposit published versions of their articles in institutional repositories or subject-specific archives, following the journal’s open-access licensing policy.

These systems safeguard the academic record and ensure that EXEL’s publications remain available to researchers, educators, and the public for years, even during technical or operational disruptions.
