Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

• The manuscript is original, has not been published previously, and is not currently under consideration by another journal.
• The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
• The manuscript clearly falls within the aims and scope of the Interdisciplinary Journal of Education (IJE) and makes a substantive contribution to education or interdisciplinary educational research.
• The manuscript has been prepared in accordance with the current IJE Author Guidelines and official manuscript template.
• The manuscript is written in clear, professional, and internationally understandable academic English and has been carefully proofread before submission.
• The main manuscript has been anonymized for double-anonymous peer review and does not contain author names, affiliations, acknowledgments, or other identifying information.
• The submission metadata includes the full names, institutional affiliations, countries, valid email addresses, corresponding-author information, and ORCID iDs where available for all authors.
• All listed authors meet appropriate authorship criteria, have approved the submitted manuscript, and an Author Contributions Statement has been provided, preferably using the CRediT taxonomy where applicable.
• Where applicable, ethical approval, informed consent, institutional permission, or other required research authorization has been obtained and appropriately reported in the manuscript.
• All relevant financial, professional, institutional, personal, or other competing interests have been disclosed. Where no competing interests exist, this has been clearly stated.
• All sources of financial support, including funding organizations and grant numbers where applicable, have been disclosed. Where no external funding was received, this has been stated.
• A Data Availability Statement has been included. Where research data cannot be shared publicly, the relevant ethical, legal, confidentiality, contractual, or privacy restrictions have been explained.
• Any substantive use of generative AI or AI-assisted technologies has been transparently disclosed in accordance with the IJE Generative AI Policy. AI systems have not been listed as authors.
• The manuscript is free from plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, inappropriate text recycling, citation manipulation, undisclosed duplicate publication, fraudulent authorship, and other forms of research or publication misconduct.
• The authors understand that submitted manuscripts may be screened using similarity-detection software and that similarity reports are interpreted through editorial assessment rather than by percentage alone.
• All tables and figures are appropriately numbered, cited, and clearly presented. Necessary permissions have been obtained for copyrighted or third-party material where required.
• References comply with APA 7th Edition. All references cited in the manuscript appear in the reference list and vice versa, and DOI links have been included wherever available.
• Where applicable, the manuscript follows an appropriate internationally recognized reporting guideline, such as PRISMA, CONSORT, STROBE, COREQ, or another relevant disciplinary standard.
• Relevant supplementary materials, datasets, research instruments, appendices, reporting checklists, or supporting documents have been uploaded where appropriate.
• The authors have read and agreed to the IJE Copyright and License Statement. Authors retain copyright, and published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0), unless otherwise explicitly stated.
• The authors understand that submission does not guarantee acceptance. Manuscripts may undergo initial editorial screening and, when considered suitable, will proceed to the journal's double-anonymous peer-review process.
• The corresponding author confirms that all information supplied during submission is accurate and complete and that all authors accept responsibility for the integrity, originality, and ethical compliance of the submitted work.
